Filtering for empty records in View

Hello,

I'm trying to get a report for Datastores that have No I/O controls.  IAAS I would look for the storage IO control disables yes/no

In vrops that would translate to Properties I/O Host count. in the case of disabled the field would be a - "empty"

the filter  tab does not allow me to filter for just that.

Hi,

Saidly filtering for "empty" strings is not possible in vROPS (as of 6.6.1). So the Only alternative is to do create a manual process or use PowerShell or vRO.

The manual process with vROPS would be:

1. Create report that contains each annotations value
2. Run report
3. Export report in CSV
4. Import in EXCLE
5. Creat Filter on the first row
6. For each Colume
   1. Select for "-"
   2. This now shows the VMs that have this anotation not set.

Well..its not a good solution and lets hope that at some stage we can filter by "empty string"...but it works with what we have.
