Exporting Datastore Metrics

I am attempting to export datastore metrics from the Custom UI.

Here are the requirements:

  • I need to use the Custom UI rather than the vSphere / Admin UI.  I need the supermetrics.

  • I cant use a custom report in the vSphere / Admin UI by editing an XML file due to company restrictions

  • I can't use the http post method to access the data due to company restrictions

The Metrics Graph is the only widget that allows me to export a CSV in the Custom UI.

However, it does not allow you to export more than one datstore on a single csv which is quite limiting.

You can only get a separate view for each datastore and then download them individually.

I just want to double/triple check if someone has a way around this to get a csv from the Custom UI listing every datastore in one csv which I can include the supermetics I have assigned to those datastores?

You can leverage the repository adapter for this, however you need to edit some of the config files and execute via shell (SSH). It's not a GUI-driven function, but it'll accomplish what you're looking for.
