Disk space Demand vs Allocation for Thick provisioned VMs

Installed vCOPs 5.7.2 and running for a week now with default configuration settings. (i.e. enabled both 'by demand' and 'by allocation' for CPU,Memory, and Disk space)

We provision all the VMs as thick provisioned disks.  Based on this, what changes need to be made in the default configuration to reflect apt results?

Right now, i see most of the alerts are related to Disk space allocation and it is the most constrained resource. 

PS: I am thinking of disabling 'by Allocation' for Disk space to see if that is going to clear all the disk space allocation related alerts.
