Density and "Capacity Remaining" badges

My vmware environment is pretty small, comprised of 5 hosts and we currently host about 50VMs on the environment with a mix of low priority and tier 1 applications.

Currently the front page of vCOPS shows that we have a capacity remaining of 2454 more VMs.

The Density score is low (2) and the numbers shown there are a bit puzzling too.

The Optimal VM:HOST ratio is currently shows is 502.4:1

The Optimal vMEM:Physical memory ratio is currently shown as 33:1.

While I appreciate vCOPS belief I could increase my VM count by a factor of 50 with my existing hardware, I don't think that seems like a realistic number.  Is there a way to tone that down a little bit to provide a bit more conservative estimate of the hardware's capability?

I was looking through the policy configuration but nothing really stood out as something to change.

Look at the config policy. Set the usable capacity, usable capacity buffers, cap plan model (alloc vd demand), and your overcommit ratios. That is where those recommendations are coming from.
