We were running a API script to add a custom property to all our VMs based on the type of storage they are on (NAS, SAN)
To do this we look at the VM and its relationships for the datastore. we take the name of the datastore and look at its type. If NFS the we add NAS as the property. if vmfs we add SAN.
Doing this we got back approx1000 VMs that dont seem to have a relationship to a datastore. Has anyone seen this before and have a way to fix
