Custom Group for vcenters

I have created an alert that will trigger when the needed memory of a guest VM falls below 2gb

I only want to apply this to my vcenters so i started to create a custom group but the problem is how do i only have my vcenters in the group (dont want manual updates to the group).

This group needs to be based on virtual machine objects not vcenter objects because the vcenter object type does not have the in guest metrics associated to them.

I feel like i am missing something but cant think what

1. Create your custom policy.

2. In the new policy, apply the specific alert.

3. Create a custom group only for vCenter machines so that it considers guest metrics of the vCenter alone.

4. Apply the policy only for the group.

I know how to create a group. i was wanting to know is there a dynamic way to add a vm that is a vcenter to a group with out the need for me to manual add something or use a naming convention ( tag, property etc)
