Cannot Delete Orphaned Datastore

Hi,

I created a NetApp LUN in vCenter however the LUN went offline and I had to delete it on the NetApp filer. Now I am unable to delete the LUN from vCenter, when I try I get the following error: "Error during the configuration of the host: Unable to query live VMFS state of volume".

Any ideas on how to delete this orphaned VMFS datastore?

Take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1026661 for how to delete orphaned datastores from the database. Please make sure this is exactly the issue you see before you alter the database!
