Does anyone have any more details about the new global option (I believe appeared in 6.6) called "Additional Time Series Retention"
This is all I could find but it doesn't contain the detail I'm looking for...
-Looking for the level of roll-ups... monthly? weekly? daily? hourly? etc..
-Maybe sizing considerations for this data?
-How are roll ups stored... as point-in-time data slice? or averages from all data during the rollup period?
TIA.
Sunny wrote a pretty good blog post covering this new feature here that explains it pretty well. So to directly answer your question, after the default of 6 months, it rolls up the following months at one hour intervals.

Great! thats answers most of my question, but will not about hwo the data is saved (average vs lasts data point)... but ill leave a comment and see if he answers.
Your link was missing a letter, BTW... here's one that works: vXpress: Part 9 - Using data roll-ups for longer retention period in vROps 6.6
