Hello,
Our company has an alert setup to show when VMWare Tools is not running on any Powered On Virtual Machine. After the update to 6.4 ,it seems to be ignoring both the Powered On and Virtual Machine requirements as all of our templates and powered off vms showed up on the HOME tab with the alert. I have tried clearing them all but they just come back the next time the alert cycles.
I could just be missing something so here are the settings for our alert:
Name: Virtual Machine is not running VMware Tools
Base Object Type: Virtual Machine
Impact: Health
Criticality: Immediate
Alert Type: Virtualization/Hypervisor: Performance
Symptons: Self-Virtual Machine: Match ALL of the flowing: 1. VMWare Tools is not running 2. Negated (VM is powered off)
Recommendation: Ensure that VMWare Tools is running on the VM
If anyone has a fix for this it would be greatly appreciated.
