NFS archive not working on worker node

Hi,

I have a master and worker log insight installation (Version 2.5.0-2347850).

Archiving is enabled. The master is archiving and thats fine but the worker is not. Both worker and slave are in the same network.

  • I can log into the CLI of the worker
  • create a test directory as mount point
  • mount the archive directory to a test mount point directory,
  • create a directory in the mount point,
  • touch a file,

So network, NFS and permissions seem fine. There is 600Gb free space in the archive directory and 200Gb free space in the live storage of the worker.

The system information page of the worker node still shows:

"There has been no archiving since last restart".

Any suggestions welcome,

Regards,

NJ

Please note that 2-node clusters are not supported. You should add a third node.

I assume you configured archiving to a FQDN. Is DNS properly configured on the worker and can it resolve the FQDN?

Did you configure system notifications under Administration > General? Are you receiving any system notification telling you that archiving is failing?

In worst case, SSH to the worker and take a look at /storage/var/loginsight/runtime.log -- search for NFS and you should see what the issue is.

I hope this helps!
