what is the significance of ‘Support User’ in vCAC 6.0

Hello,

i am wondering in vCAC 6.0 there is no 'Support User' functionality where group administrator can impersonate to the user account and audit logs or troubleshoot other user specific issues.

Is there any configuration i am missing or this functionality is being taken out of VCAC coz i did not find any information i documentation as well..

thanks ,

Br,

MG

When you login into the Support user's portal, it says on behalf of on the right top box where you can choose the user whom you need to impersonate.

Or while deploying the machine, there is a field which says Owner where you can select any user in that business group and deploy the machine for them.

Support user role is still there with vCAC Business groups.

Support user is a confusing role. It's not for troubleshooting. It's a user role that can be used to provision machines for other set of users or on behalf of them thus by acting as a support user.

It's not a role you'll assign to an operations support personnel

Correct, but i do not see any functionality where I as a member of Support users , can perform Provisioning for set of users i.e. impersonate, as it was available in vCAC 5.2 UI?

How can 'Support User' Role assigned users can perform designated task? Earlier it had capability to Monitor Event Logs for Provisioning requests which is missing with this role is vCAC 6.0
