vRB 7.0.1 - vCenter Data Collection Error

Hi All,

I am having the error for a vCenter that I have added in the Business Management.

Error:

The server's hostname does not match the one found in its certificate.

Unable to complete inventory synchronization.

Solution:

Try adding the server using the hostname present in its certificate or rectify the certificate to contain the correct hotname, edit the connection and view and accept the new certificate.

Check the inventory service.

This is a vCenter Appliance 5.5.

I have another vCenter (Windows) 6.0 and this is working fine.

Appreciate any help or ideas.

Thanks.

Are you using the IP of the vCenter during the registration process? Or the FQDN?

Hi, I also have this issue too,  two vCenter are the same version 6.

One is fine when added into vRB, the the other one is also have this problem.

Could you let me know which certificate you updated to solve this issue.

Did you update the failed vCenter ? or The vRB?

Thanks

Ron

Hi Ron, have you resolved this issue? Have you managed to update the certificate from the vCenter that has the issue?
