vCloud Automation Center Designer

Hi

I'm using vCAC 6 and I have troubles installing the "vCloud Automation Center Designer".

In the second screen, it ask for Model Manager Web Service Host Name:Port (FQDN) but all combinations I could imagine throws the error "Invalid host name or there is no Model Manager Web service running on specified host.

My vCAC VA host name is: vcac.miempresa.net

My vCAC IAAS host name is: vcaciaas.miempresa.net

dont use port number with fqdn 🙂

or atleast this was the case with vcac 5.2

I've tried that with the same error. I'm using vCAC6. I can't figure out what is wrong.

whats the error in install log ?

installing with admin rights ? Pre-requisites all done ?

Upload the log file pls

switch is:  /l*v file.log

Could you tell me where this log file is? I can't find it.

shoukd be in c:/vcaclog

else run again with params: installer.exe /l*v c:/file.log

worth doing iisreset on web and manager. are you on ssl ? Certificate validation errors ?

Btw, service account should be same as manager service or same rights in azman store

Hi, I feel a little silly. I was trying to install the designer in a different machine than the IAAS server.

That should be no problem in 5.2

I change the user@toto.com to toto\user and now it's working
