vCAC Network Profile IP Ranges

VCAC 6.0.1

I am having intermittent issues with assigning a network profile to a blueprint using the custom properties:

Property name is: VirtualMachine.Network0.ProfileName

Property value is: Internal153subnet

I have the networks in the reservation checked and have not selected the profiles there.  The IP address is always right, but the network VLAN is random.  I do not want to keep creating reservations together with Blueprints to control what VLAN my systems are on.

Thank you

The VirtualMachine.NetworknProfileName property must be used with a VirtualMachine.Networkn.Name property.  The network must also be selected in the reservation and have the profile associated.

Using VirtualMachine.Networkn.Name alone will not automatically use the profile, unfortunately.

In other words, you have to explicitly use these properties together - there is no built in logic to use one if the other is selected.

Can you try adding VirtualMachine.Network0.Name as a property? This will allow you to select the Portgroup/Logical Switch.

I'd like to see if it inherits the correct Network Profile as associated with the Network Path in your Reservation.

Thanks for clarifying John. Had a (bad) feeling that was the case.
