Hello,
Does anyone know if it's possible to use vCNS Edge as a load balancer for vCAC 6.0?
Regards
I don't know of any reason why not but I haven't tried this myself. We had some plans to use vCAC in our lab with NSX to setup a HA version of vCAC (including required load balancers) but that's still TBD.
I'm in the process of trying to get this to work. No luck so far, but no mention of it not being supported. I have a case open with VMware to tell me where I'm going wrong. I can get the 1st VCAC appliance to work through the vCNS edge, but not the second.
I'll post back here if and when I have a working solution.
Have you looked at the configuration changes that need to be made on the vCAC Appliances to make this happen per the documentation?
Cheers,
Grant
Yes, I've been following the documentation, but I'm still not having any luck. The 1st appliance seems fine, but after copying the relevant files from /etc/vcac to the second server, it just doesn't want to come up.
Ok, I'll try to find some time in the lab today to test this out for you.
Grant
Much appreciated, let me know if you have any questions about my config. I have email notifications enabled for this thread.
Hi ,
Definitely , I have used vCNS in my vCAC 6.1 cloud environment for load balancing vCAC and IAAS web and it is working fine and it is part of vCAC advanced license suite.
F5 web appliance is the another choice for you .
