licensing of vRealize Automation 6.2

I am refering following URL

Buy VMware vRealize Automation, Cloud Automation Software | United States

it says

vRealize Automation is included as part of vCloud Suite or vRealize Suite. vRealize Automation is also available on a standalone basis, priced per managed system in packs of 25. vRealize Automation Development Kit is available as an add-on via a perpetual license on a per vRealize Automation Instance basis.

I am struggling to understand difference between things mentioned in highlighted text.

In short I need some better understanding of vRA licensing.

It's "per OSI" (or managed system) instead of "per VM" because the software manages physical systems and cloud based workloads as well.

There are 3 editions for VRA mentioned in below link . based on your requirement you can opt that . Also all these 3 editions comes under vCloud suite family . It is product line of VMware.Vrealize is the new brand name for vCloud  form version 6.2 onwards.

vRealize Automation Development Kit  - It is for Rest API development, if you are developer you may need this ! or not needed.

VMware Per VM Pricing & Licensing Help | United States

go for VRA suite licensing  per ESXI HOST socket license for all these 3 editions, instead of vra standalone license that is per VM.  Also engage with VMware Sales team, It is a good time to drop a mail to them to understand better.

Thanks a lot again.

as you wrote,

instead of vra standalone license that is per VM

vRA 6.2 standalone license is per VM basis, so that probably is the meaning of 'per managed system' I suppose.

I will try to get in touch with vmware sales too, thanks.
