kickstart without DHCP?

We are using kickstart (and puppet) to deploy linux servers, the problem is – there is no DHCP on our network. Is there a way to automate the linux provisioning?

All info I could find is that I must use DHCP for kickstart.

We are using vRA 7 (new environment)

Hi,

We are able to do this with kickstart and vSphere customization.  vRA pass the network configuration to the customization process.

so yes, no DHCP needed!

One option is to create ISOs with network identity for each build.

How did you do it?

Hi, are you able to use the kickstart without the DHCP? We do not have DHCP on our environment too.

Sorry for resurrecting an old post, but can you elaborate on how to do this? I also need to deploy from kickstart but I don't have an DHCP server. How can I leverage vSphere Customization during the deployment?

Thanks in advance
