This has happened to me twice now.
VCAC 6.0 is all setup and working, VCAC Appliance, VCAC SSO and Windows IAAS all setup.
I have configured a tenant and an endpoint within and have started to configure groups (fabric and business)
I logged out and left VCAC alone for a few days (got on with real life)
When I go back to login to my VCAC Console the login dialog box appears but when I attempt to login I get an error in the browser:
Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
The URL bar says:
https://vcac.blacksun.localnet/shell-ui-app/org/blacksun/saml/websso/sso
Both appliances and the Windows box are up and have no errors.
Last time this happened I ended up rebooting both appliances and then waiting for 30 minutes at which point I was able to login and get sessions back again as I did before.
This is a lab that I setup from scratch myself and when it works everything is working perfectly.
any help appreciated.
Brett
Looking into this a little further I think this is related to the vcac tc server being dead:
vcac:/var/lib/vcac/server/logs # /etc/init.d/vcac-server status
Status-ing tcServer
Instance name: server
Runtime version: 7.0.35.B.RELEASE
tc Runtime Base: /var/lib/vcac/server
Status: NOT RUNNING
the last entry in the catalina.out logfle at 01:00am this morning says:

Restarting the vcac server returns the service but I'm almost 100% sure it will be dead again tommorow.
This is only a demo/POC install at this time but it is really not giving me a good impression.
Any clues on what is causing this and what the fix is would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I have just faced the same error few days back and it seems due to IOPs problem. For more details please check my blogpost at: http://www.virtualizationteam.com/cloud/vcac-6-service-temporarily-unavailable.html
