Server 2012 R2 Guest

I'll probably get shot for asking this but has anyone had any luck deploying a 2012R2 guest with 6.01?

I've got a template which doesn't really differ from our 2008 R2 one but the guest agent seems to crash for most deployments.

Would be interested in hearing your experiences etc?

Ditto for me.  I'm running 6.0.1.1 with similar results.  Windows 2012 R2 guest intermittently fails or stalls at "in progress".  There aren't many logs to look at, but after 30-60 minutes (or when I'm sufficiently comfortable it's hung), I'll reboot the server and it'll finish successfully thereafter.

I see the following in Event viewer too.. it happens multiple times.

What version of VMware tools / HW version are you running?

Pretty certain gugent isn't supported on 2012 R2. I've successfully deployed 2012 without the agent, and tend to do most interactions through vCO.

Yeah it's not in the support matrix. I just wondered if anyone had had any success.

6.1 soon anyway so hopefully VMware will include guest and server support for 2012 R2.
