Question :
For virtual reservation’s in vRA 7.3, If memory resources is fully allocated, then can we only shutdown the existing machine to reclaim the memory resources for to provision a new machine?
No. You can provision a new virtual machine, you just won't be able to turn it on until enough machines that are turned off to free enough resources for it.
Actually, you won't even get that far. vRA will enter the allocate phase of the request (which is the first step in the pipeline) and validate the resources in the request against the targeted reservation. If there is not sufficient capacity for any of the parameters on the reservation the request will fail out right there.
Thanks everyone for the supplied responses.
