Only one Snapshot in vRA 7.x?

Hi,

i will create more than one vm-snapshot with die vRA Portal. The first one ist no problem, but the second one fails with the following error: [Error code: 42100 ] - [Error Msg: Infrastructure service provider error: The action is invalid for the machine.]

Does anyone know the reason? Is really only a snapshot possible?

By default, vRA allows one snapshot per VM. That error might be because the option is available but the machine already have snapshots.

You can use the following custom property in your blueprints:

Snapshot.Policy.Limit

(Sets the number of snapshots allowed per machine. This property applies to vSphere provisioning. When set to 0, the blueprint option to create a snapshot is hidden for all users except for support and manager roles)

when we contacted VMware for the same case, VMware is telling only one snapshot allow to take the VM , if we need second snapshot for the VM, we need to delete exist snapshot then we need to take next snapshot but over all VM will get only one snapshot not more-then that and VRA7 product is designed like that - Rajendra .Sanda
