Is LDAP a requirement?

Is LDAP required? I have automation center installed along with IaaS. I don't have a need to have users crested VMs on the fly. System admins will be performing the installs.

So far I gave IaaS, automation center along with the identity appliance installed.

Some kind of LDAP is required for authentication. The System Admins will have their own logins somewhere, so register the tenant to that LDAP environment.

I guess in theory you could create users in SSO within the vsphere.local tenant, but I'm not sure that this is a supported config.

Even if system admins perform the install, why not give access to only system admins from LDAP.

Just because you integrated LDAP does not mean that everyone gets to access vCAC. You explicitly allow users with certain roles on vCAC. So even if you integrate LDAP there will be control on eho deploys V<'s

That said, you can still go ahead and use it without LDAP i guess.
