Could you check the below steps and see its marked as exportable:

Procedure
1. Obtain a certificate from a trusted certificate authority.
2. Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
3. Double-click Server Certificates from Features View.
4. Click Import in the Actions pane.
a) Enter a file name in the Certificate file text box, or click the browse button (…), to navigate to the name of a file where the exported certificate is stored.
b) Enter a password in the Password text box if the certificate was exported with a password.
c) Select Mark this key as exportable.
5 Click OK.
6 Click on the imported certificate and select View.
7 Verify that the certificate and its chain is trusted.

If the certificate is untrusted, you see the message, This CA root certificate is not trusted.

Hi RohitVCP7

This is not a certificate issue, or at least there is no indication for this in the attached logs.

Since the configuration process has crashed, can you please review/attach the application event log?

Are you running the installer from administrator account (and run as administrator if there is UAC)?

Can you check whether there is a Website in IIS that correspond to the name that you've provided during the installation wizard?

Thanks!

Had something similar during the week..turned out to be cert related..

I pulled in the .crt instead of the .pfx into the iaas.....but it's still failing.. Smiley Sad

Hi , Just go through the logs ,

I would say before going deep , please ensure VRA , VIA  and SQL DB forward and reverse lookup is working from IAAS server . you can either fix it on the domain or add a local entry in IAAS for the time being.

If you are good in above mentioned task and you need to do some more tasks .

make sure you are using compatible os and db with VRA 6.2 . and also update the IAAS server and run the script mentioned here , after login as domain user which having admin rights.

Hi, cheers

I was doing a distributed install, but rolled back to a stand alone build.. but that still failed..

DNS working as expected

Win 2012 r2 & sql 2012 sp2

Ran the scrip and all passed, backconnectioshostname was populated..

http://www.vmbaggum.nl/2015/08/vrealize-automation-msb3073-installation-error/

To fix this issue I chose method 1 “Specify host names” instead of the less-recommended one “Disable the loopback check” on the vRA component servers

This has resolved the local install issue, Smiley Happy

Now back to the the distributed version ..
