Failure executing script '10_finalize_noop.bat'.'

Has anyone seen this error?

Failure executing script '10_finalize_noop.bat'.'

It looks like my machine clones, customizes, installs software, then craps on finalizing provisioning, then disposes...

Hello,

I have the same issue. Did you find a solution to that error ?

Best regards

You need to look at the Windows guest agent log file to find out why it failed that step. The guest agent runs these batch scripts when you invoke it with a custom property, and the one mentioned can fail for a few reasons. Check the log file for more details. By default it installs at C:\VRMGuestAgent.

Hi,

Sadly, in my case, log file does not help very much :

2017-08-09 10:50:22 Application: [Information] Executing '10_finalize_noop.bat' ...

2017-08-09 10:50:22 Application: [Information] Wait for completion of '10_finalize_noop.bat'

2017-08-09 10:50:22 Application: [Error] Failure executing script '10_finalize_noop.bat'

2017-08-09 10:50:22 Application: [Information]

<workItemResponse id="fbdb0fd1-5583-432b-ad6e-0c72ee35fff9">

     <task type="finalize">

          <result succeeded="false">

                    <message>Failure executing script '10_finalize_noop.bat'</message>

         </result>

    <task>

<workItemResponse>

At the same time (oddly, there is a 2 hours timeshift in the log), log file "VCACGuestAgentService.log" indicates another error, I am not sure if it is related or not :

08/09/2017, 12:50:22

    Guest agent finalized, will be uninstalled

08/09/2017, 12:50:22

    OpenSCManager failed, error code = 1115

08/09/2017, 12:50:23

    ServiceMainProc Exit

Any suggestions ?

Best regards

Need to know what script(s) you're trying to run, what version of vRA, etc.
