Approval based on resource size

All,

  I was looking through the built in VCAC approval options and I don't see anywhere to specify require approval if say memory is larger than 8 GB.  Is there a way to do this?

Yes when you are creating the approval policy you can define the parameters for different resource so in your case it would be if mem > 8GB.  You have to specifically add the logic and you can have multiple triggers like if mem > 8GB and or cpu > 8 and or disk > 500GB   ect

I tried to find it in there, but I couldn't find it.  Where would one add the logic?

I do not have the console in front of me to reference but it is in the approval policy bottom right hand side.  It may have to be the secondary approval policy but there is a button to add the logic.  Sorry I do not have the console to reference for you.

Ok I found the issue.  I had selected approval for just "catalog item"  not for catalog item virtual machine.  It is under there
