Hello,

Does anyone knows the custom properties to set to make a new disk independent and created on another controller ?

Just found the custom property to set for disk mode : "VirtualMachine.DiskN.VMwareType" ("VMwareType" is enough), the available values are :

persistent, independent_persistent and independent_nonpersistent.

Found it in the vcac custom properties documentation : http://pubs.vmware.com/vCAC-60/topic/com.vmware.ICbase/PDF/vcloud-automation-center-60-custom-proper...

For the controller, I found in this post : vCO dump of all custom properties of a VCAC VM | Cloud Relevant that the property "VirtualMachine.DiskN.DeviceID = SCSI (0:0)" could be the solution but I can't modify it in the blueprint since it's a reserved property :

Any help would be greatly appreciated Smiley Happy

Thanks

I haven't tried the shortened custom property name as rdsOO indicated, please note that if you don't include the VirtualMachine.DiskN prefix, then it will default to disk 0.

As the shortened custom property name is set on each disk in the Storage tab, it's not a problem.

I sent an email to VMware support a few days ago, waiting for a feedback.
