vMotion Network design - best practice?

I was reviewing vMotion Best Practices and I had a thought about a design I wanted to bounce off you.  Would this be an efficient way to setup vMotion networking?

Port group A linked to a vSphere Standard Switch (VSS) with two 10 GB uplinks - Uplink AA active and Uplink BB standby
Port group B linked to same VSS - Uplink BB active and uplink AA standby
No other port groups / load on the 10 uplinks

My though is to leverage both 10 GB uplinks at all times and not have one sit idle waiting for the other to fail.  If one fails, there is still a path for vMotion.  Asking about this design only for VSS not vSphere Distributed Switch (VDS).

Or could it be more simplistic as:
Port group A linked to a VSS with two 10 GB uplinks - Uplink AA and BB both active
No other port groups / load on the 10 uplinks

Thoughts?

With two dedicated NICs for vMotion, your design makes perfect sense.
Multi-NIC vMotion will use both NICs, and therefore double the migration speed, i.e. halve the migration duration.
