VM's rebooted while migrating from one host to another in the cluster

I have migrated the VM's (Vmotion) from one host to the another in the cluster, VM's rebooted which is weired.  Can any one

please explain on this.

Hi,

The first thing that I can think of is that the VM OS is the responsable...maybe it's a Windows machine with automatic updates enabled and that restarted the virtual machine.

Did you check the OS system log to see if you have some info there?

I don't know any reason why VMotion would restart your VM after moving it to another host.

rebooted or bluescreened?

any thing in the event logs of the vms?

Thanks for your response on this.....

The VM got rebooted with unexpected shutdown in the event logs.
There was no bluescreen or any other OS Failure

The Event Log entry is as follows:-
The previous system shutdown at 2:42:04 PM on 10/2/2012 was unexpected.

If the only thing that you can see in the logs is that (no further errors)...the only thing I can think of is a memory problem in one of your hosts...

If you are able to run a diagnose your hosts (the destiny one, when it failed), that's what I would do...
