I am no longer able to create a cluster resouce pool with new esx4 cluster. I have two clusters that were created on vcenter 2.5 with esx 3.5 host and upgraded to vshpere 4. I can still right-click the cluster and add a resource pool.
When I try the same on a cluster that was created after vsphere was upgrade and has 2 esx4 host it is grayed out. I can click on the host and create a resource pool with no problem but seems like I should be able to do that at the cluster level unless that was changed in 4. Any suggestions?
Also, the new cluster is in a separate datacenter.
Is DRS enabled on the new cluster? Resource Pools can only be created on standalone hosts or DRS clusters.
Just a thought,

Yes DRS is enabled on the cluster. I figured it out stupid me, I forgot to move the host into the cluster.
