Does anyone know the current advanced setting to tune max cost per datastore? The guidance on this is very old and I don't know if "config.vpxd.ResourceManager.maxCostPerDatastore" still works. Also, is the name of the setting case sensitive?
Hi @rm_bk
The advanced setting "config.vpxd.ResourceManager.maxCostPerDatastore" is no longer present in vSphere 7.
You can see the Storage vMotion is limited by network connection type (4 for 1GbE and 8 for 10GbE) and also 16 per source and target datastore.
As changing the value was never supported VMware removed the option in vSphere 7 - unfortunatelly.

Daniel
