I have been trying to test the Hot Add/Hot Plug feature on vSphere, I have created a virtual machine with hardware version 7 installed Windows 2008 datacenter edition 64 bit.
When i increase the CPU on the fly the same is reflected under device manager. However when i increase the memory size ... memory size of the system does not increase but in device manager under memory i see a memory component added to the virtual machine with a exclamation mark on it.
Am i missing any step to configure memory??
