EVC Support

Hi,

we are currently running 4 ESX hosts of type DELL 2950 with Intel Xeon X5460 processors.

Now I want to buy an additional Server, here I would choose an Dell R710 with an Intel Xeon X5600 processor.

So far I want to use Vmotion I would create a new EVC cluster.

Is it supported to create an EVC cluster with this two types of cpu, and will vmotion will running?

Thaks for answers.

You are talking about merom and penryn cpus....You can create a EVC baseline between these two!
