DPM host preference

Hi,

We just moved our 3 ESX hosts to v4. Configured DPM and it's working very nicely! One of our blades has one CPU less, but probably still has plenty resources to run the environment overnight. Is there a way to have DPM give preference to that host when powering down (the other) hosts?

No idea. Not from vSphere Client, maybe with advanced options.

A different way could be disable DPM on the specific host.

Hi,

I realized there is an easy way out. By setting the host to manual DPM you effectively take it out of the lists of hosts that can be brought down
