Usage_Meter_3.6_Product_Detection_White_Paper_9.20.17.pdf

This is a version of the vCloud Usage Meter Product Detection White Paper which was provided to me by VMware Support. This document doesn't seem to be available anywhere to download currently.

It is referenced in a few places and there are a number of people in the community wanting it, so I hope this helps until it is made available officially by VMware.

Hi, the following vSAN configuration/product detection is explained in this document.

"...At least 1 vSAN datastore per cluster and 2 clusters per VC. A total of 2 vSAN datastores per VC with 2 clusters."

I have already 1 VC with 2 vSAN Clusters. One vSAN Datastore in each cluster. I want to add a 3 vSAN Cluster to the VC. Impossible?

Kind regards Christian

Hi,

It is possible to have single VC with 3 vSAN cluster (one vSAN Datastore in each cluster).

Thanks,

Vinayaga.

Hi,

thanks for your response. And the usage meter is counting in a right way?

Kind regards Christian

Hi Christian,

In Usage Meter, we have verified with Single VC with 4 vSAN clusters and it meters.

Thanks,

Vinayaga.
