Usage meter 4.4 >> REST API to get usage data

Hi,

We have upgraded usage meter from 3.6 version to 4.4.

In Usage meter 3.6 version, we have reports api which provides usage data.

But in Usage meter 4.4, reports api is not available,

Can you please help me to get the rest api to usage usage from usage meter 4.4 version.

I was wondering about this as well and performed some investigation. The API (documentation at https://code.vmware.com/apis/1165/vcloud-usage-meter) for version 4.4 allows to view and modify customer rules. However usage data can only be downloaded in a proprietry binary format that's only useful for uploading it to VMware Usage insight (eg. in case you can not do automatic usage reporting).

If you have the customer rules defined you can access the customer monthly report via Usage Insight (https://console.cloud.vmware.com/). The VMware Cloud Provider Blog (https://blogs.vmware.com/cloudprovider/2021/06/introducing-usage-meter-4-4-customer-monthly-usage-re...) has some information about this, also I found https://www.paluszek.com/wp/2021/05/17/using-customer-monthly-reporting-in-usage-meter-4-4/ to be helpful.

Unfortunately there does not seem to be an API to Usage Insight yet, so I can not retrieve the data/reports automatically. That's why for the time being I keep the old Usage Meter 3.6 instance running in parallel to 4.4...
