Usage Meter 4.3 NSX-T Connection Error vCenter login failed: ServerSOAPFaultException

I am trying to connect Usage Meter 4.3 to NSX-T 3.1.

When I add NSX-T Manager it asks to accept the certificate, it says "Credentials Verified" but then comes back with "Connection Error".

If I go to the notifications section it lists..

Connection error: vCenter login failed: ServerSOAPFaultException

The documention suggests it needs to be the CLI admin user which I have tried and get the above message.

Any ideas how or how I can debug further?

Thanks!

I found the problem, I was actually caused by the Usage Meter connection to vCenter not working, once I resolved that (Propagate to children on the Usage Meter role) it all worked.

Here is the related thread..
