Hi,
I installed the following rpm packages from the SLES 11 iso:
rpm -i perl-TermReadKey-2.30-135.22.x86_64.rpm
rpm -i libsensors3-2.10.6-10.15.x86_64.rpm
rpm -i snmp-mibs-5.4.2.1-8.12.16.1.x86_64.rpm
rpm -i libsnmp15-5.4.2.1-8.12.16.1.x86_64.rpm
rpm -i perl-SNMP-5.4.2.1-8.12.16.1.x86_64.rpm net-snmp-5.4.2.1-8.12.16.1.x86_64.rpm
testing with snmpwalk, it works locally but not from network. Seems no firewall is active, ideas ?!?!

In my environment I am facing the same issue. In my case i have already defined "snmpd: ALL : ALLOW" but still I can only get snmpwalk response locally not across the network.
In my environment I am also facing the same issue. snmpwalk is working locally but not across network. Checked dfound no iptables rules active. In my case I was trying to add my usage meter server to zenoss and was able to reach zenoss using community string configured for zenoss but in return zenoss was not able to reach back my usage meter server. Even logging a case with VMware didnt helped us.
