How to select what hosts or vm to be included in the Usage Meter

We are currently running vCloud Usage Meter V2.2

We are running 1 vCenter Server with 4 ESXi hosts

2 of these are production and 2 are used for test/evaluations

I was told that you can configure what hosts or vm that you want to collect from but i cant see where you would enter that information.

Unless in the Manage Tab, you enter the hosts ip's rather than the VC Server ip??

Any ideas ??

If that version of Usage Meter has the License Sets feature, you can use that to choose the licenses of the hosts to report on.

Yes this version does have the License Sets, But all 4 ESXi hosts are using the same license.

What version allows you to specify the hosts/vm's to monitor ??

I don’t believe we have such a feature in any Usage Meter version.

What you are probably going to need to do is to go into MyVMware, divide the current key into two keys for each pair of hosts. Don't forget that the old key will be invalid when you divide it and it needs to be removed and replaced with the two new keys. Then use the License sets feature in the Usage Meter.

Then again if this is a for a tracking the costs to the users of the system then you may want to consider using Chargeback rather than the vCloud Usage Meter.
