Hostname

Dear all,

I've installed the Usage Meter 3.3.3

I've proceed (usign the vmware tool /opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_config_net) the configuration of secondary DNS and hostname.

I've restarted the tomcat to "save" the information just updated BUT, after a reboot the hostname revert back to the orginal "localhost.localdomain".

Can someone help me ?

This info is off top of my head - so just something to try (might not be correct for this appliance).

For some VMware appliances no matter what name you put in they will be reset on reboot, this is because a DNS reverse lookup is done on the IP address, and then whatever comes back is used (or a default used if a valid response is not returned)
