vShield edge performance

Is there any benchmarking done for vShield edge with vCloud Director? What is the overhead and maximum throughput of using vShield edge? I believe it offers logical boundary around Org vDCs in vCloud Director. In that case , can it be tweaked for each org vDC in terms of performance?

I have heard the limit is 2Gbps... but it could be slightly faster. It will depend on your networking gear mostly.
