vShield Manager install error.

I am installing vShield Manager as a part of a vCloud Director installation.

I follow the instructions and deploy from template, and configure the network. The machine talks to the network fine, and I can bring up the login web page.

However the user and pass of "admin" and "default" on intial web login returns "Login failed for user 'admin'. Please try again." I can, however, still into log into the text console.

I have tried redeoplying 3 times and have had the same issue.

I have also tried wiping the database ("database erase" in the console) and still have the same issue, after.

Please advise?

Combined with some hints here and in other forums, I figured it out:

I was deploying on some scratch NFS disk to do this. My slow disk. If I moved to my fast disk, then the deploy worked perfectly.

I have confirmed this with several tests, the speed of the disk definitely effects the initialization of vShield Manager.

This is rather disconcerting. That would tend to imply some sort of a race condition either in the initialization of vShield Manager or in the product itself.

Please pass the info along to the appropriate person, if possible. Otherwise, I hope this post might help out similar troubled users.
