vShield Manager, change IP

Hello, I've setup vShield manager and I need to change the IP. When I tried to run the setup command again I receive output stating that it is an unknown command. I've tried to configure the IP as shown in the vShield Command Line Interface guide and I get the same thing. Can somebody help me out with this?

Hi mvann1,

I know you must have checked but did you try the following?

From the console

1. login as "admin" , provide password (default password is "default" without quotations)

2. Once in the prompt you need to type "enable" (without quotes) and press enter

3. It will change the prompt from '>' to '#' which is the manager one.

4. Type "setup" (without quotes) here and press enter

And now you should be able to change the password.

By default "setup" command does not work in the first prompt, you need to be in enabled mode.

Hope this helps

saja1, Thanks for the reply. The steps you describe are exactly what I was doing. I just logged out and logged back into the console using the exit command and now it works. Go figure..
