vShield Endpoint for vSphere 5.0

VMware has stopped selling vShield Endpoint.  From the FAQ:

http://www.vmware.com/products/vshield/overview.html

They state:

All vSphere 4.1 and 5.0 customers with active support contracts are entitled to Endpoint, at no additional charge. For more information, visit the vSphere 5.1 product page.

Does this mean:

All vSphere 4.1 and 5.0 customers with support can get Endpoint for free by upgrading to 5.1

Or are they saying:

Somewhere on vmware.com you can get a free license to Endpoint if you are under support.

Thanks,

Carl

vShield Endpoint has been now embedded in vSphere 5.1.

Check out http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/products/vcns/VMware-vCloud-Network-Security-FAQ.pdf

"Former VMware vShield Endpoint™ capability has been integrated in VMware vSphere® 5.1 and is available in all vSphere editions
and kits, with the exception of VMware vSphere Essentials Kit. Therefore, vCloud Networking and Security is not required to
use vShield Endpoint."

If you require vSphere Endpoint 5.0 licenses, you better hurry before VMware stops selling vSphere 5.0 licenses. Call your VMware account manager.

With the launch of vSphere5.1, Endpoint functionality is available to vSphere customers at no additional cost.

You must have a valid SnS contract for Essentials Plus or higher.

This is true even for vSphere 4.1 and vSphere 5.0, they get Endpoint for free.

To get Endpoint for vSphere 5.0 and 4.1, go to the corresponding vSphere download page and simply download the Endpoint binary. By default this is Endpoint 5.0.

To get  Endpoint 5.1 for vSphere 5.1, go to the vSphere download page and get vCloud Networking and Security binary.

You still have to get the binary, but no additional Endpoint license.

There are some compatibility considerations and a way for vSphere 4.1 and 5.0 customers to get Endpoint 5.1.
