I am adding the vShield VIBs to my Image Profiles for use with Auto Deploy. The reference I am using for this is the following article; Using vSphere Auto Deploy to create a vCloud Networking and Security Stateless ESXi image (2036701). However, when I create a new Auto Deploy rule based on an Image Profile with these VIBs added, I get a warning stating that the some packages are not stateless-ready. I have looked at the metadata within the Software Depots for the two vShield VIBs and can see that the Stateless Ready flag is set to false. These are the VIBs that are causing this warning to be generated. It is my understanding that this flag marks a VIB as supported in Auto Deploy or not.
Could some one confirm that this is correct, that in vShield 5.1.2 the VIBs are not supported in Auto Deploy? The exact relase I am using is Release 5.1.2-943471.
The VIBs are contained in the VMware-vShield-fastpath-esx5x-5.1.2-896234.zip and vShield-Endpoint-Mux.zip software depots, downloaded from https://vshieldmanagerhostname/bin/offline-bundles/VMware-vShield-fastpath-esx5x-5.1.2-896234.zip and https://vshieldmanagerhostname/bin/offline-bundles/vShield-Endpoint-Mux.zip
