Hi All,
I am facing one issue in my vCloud Lab. I have one port group created at my vDS by name vCloud_VM_NW. Earlier i was trying to create a new Network Pool (vSphere Portgroup backed) and trying to hook this with vCloud_VM_NW portgroup but was facing some issue. I posted this issue in the thread cannot add port groups to Network Pool Port Groups are in use and as per suggestion I deleted the "vCloud_VM" entry from vCloud Database (Running on MSSQL 2008 R2)
I guess during deletion I messed up the database as I have deleted entry of this port group from 3-4 different tables. Now what is happening that I am not able to see this portgroup in vCloud Director Web Console.
Can anyone help me with SQL query which will again add the port group "vCloud_VM" to vCloud director database. Please suggest the table name where that query needs to be run as I am not much into database and has limited knowledge.
Please see the attached pictures of the port group info.
If i understand the scenario correctly,as mentioned in my thread you were forced to delete the PG from VCD db since all other options were exhausted ? Now that, you would like to add the PG back to VCD and doesn't reflect in VCD,i strongly believe this is a Sync issue between VCD&VC. Can you please try reconnecting VCD to VC and give it a try?
Hi Sreec,
I will try to do the sync between vcd and vcenter and will update here soon.
Sreec I am back with update on this issue.
I tried re-connecting (resync) vCenter to my vCloud but still problem persists.I tried all the options that are visible in the screenshot attached. If I am not doing the right way then can you suggest me some other way to resync vcenter and vcloud.
I tried resynching the cell itself by using following commands:
[root@vcd ~]# /opt/vmware/vcloud-director/bin/cell-management-tool -u svcvcloud cell --status

[root@vcd ~]# service vmware-vcd restart
Stopping vmware-vcd-watchdog: [ OK ]
Stopping vmware-vcd-cell: [ OK ]
Starting vmware-vcd-watchdog: [ OK ]
Starting vmware-vcd-cell [ OK ]
Still no luck. I guess I have make entry manually in database again.
Got the resolution. I deleted the port group from vcenter server and recreated the same and bingo..it appeared within 10 secs in vCloud Inventory
It was certainly a sync issue between VCD&VC.I believe you have posted this in few other forums as well(Got to know from the logs which you have attached)
