VShield App installation error

Newbie question...

I have two esxi 4.1 hosts running in my DMZ on a 172.0.x.x.x vlan.  I have installed vShield Manager 5.x on a ESX 4.1 cluster back in my private network on a 10.x.x.x. vlan.  My Vshield Manager appliance has a firewall rule in the DMZ to translate its 10.x.x.x. to a 172.x.x.x to allow certain IP's in the DMZ to talk back to it.  When I run the install on my DMZ esx hosts to install the vShield App it comes back with an installation error while installing vib error.  My network guy is telling me he is seeing the esxi hosts in the dmz trying to talk to the 10.x.x.x IP of the vshield manager instead of the 172.x.x.x. Natt'd IP. of the vShield manager.

How can I get the esxi hosts in the dmz to talk to the Natt'd 172.x.x.x IP instead of the 10.x.x.x IP of the vShield Manager?  Originally I had the vShield Manager installed on the same cluster in the DMZ but received an error telling me this was not recommended when I tried to originally run the vShield App install.

Should I just install the vShield Manager back in the DMZ on the 172.x.x..x?

Regards,

Edawg
