vCenter HeartBeat domain requiremend

Does vCenter Heartbeat required the vCenter to be a member of domain?

Hi,

on the installation and upgrade guide page 23

Verify that the Primary node is a member of the domain.The Domain for the Primary node does not change

throughout the installation process although the Primary and Secondary node names change as part of

the installation procedure.

So, i guess the answer is yes.

Yeah, I saw this too. But the thing is not plan to join the domain.

Then, i guess you have the option to open a case, install a test env and instpect if it works without domain or wait until vmware released a new product because hearteat is eol

I think I will try to install without the domain first, just purchased the heartbeat right before the EOL.... no luck...
