Hi,
I'm trying out VMware heartbeat on a vcenter that is installed for vCenter view. Ofcourse I want composer to be started as well on the second host, however I am unable to get this working
First of all, the service seems to be missing (although the plugin is installed)
Then when I try to add it, I can not find it. Based on the fact that I can see vpxd in the list, I am assuming that heartbeat use the id in windows which would be svid for composer
Any idea?
TIA,
Timothy
Hi Timothy,
What Vcenter and View Composer version are you using?
Is the View Composer plugin installed? Go to the Applications -> Plugins section.
Plugin is installed. Composer version is the latest which should be 3.0. Seeing the same with Profile drive storage as well
VIEW Composer 3.0 is currently not supported with vCenter Heratbeat v6.4 as it was recently released and Heartbeat hasn’t been updated to provide support. Expect this with next version of vCenter Heartbeat
