How simulate WAN deployment in a LAN environment

Now are you looking to simulate a WAN deployment for testing of vCenter Heartbeat or if you could build a simalted WAN environment? The answer is yes to both questions but you will need a WAN emulator that will run as a VM -

Actually, I am testing if vCSHB can protect some third-party vCenter plug-in (as an application) in a WAN environment.

Now, I have two vCenter servers (one is primary and one is secondary) on two different subnets. In this case, I don't need to simluate a WAN environment.
