Hearbeat 6.3 U1 + SQL 2005 express

Hi all,

Can someone tell me if installing Heartbeat 6.3U1 on a vCenter 4.1 with a SQL 2005 EXPRESS version will work? And if it's supported? In the documentation it's written "only 2005 or 2008" but does it include express versions?

it will work however SQL Express is only supported for small vCenter environments. There will be some SQL checks that will need to be disabled as they are not contained within SQL Express. I run my lab with SQL Express and it works just fine

Hello Justin,

Thanks for you answer. I did multiple HB installation on SQL full, but our customer has a small environement with a SQL express on the VC. We finally decided to migrate to SQL 2008 SP2. I'll try it on a lab to see differences/alerts with sql Express.
